H.E. Mr. Khaltar Luvsan, Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia met with H.E. Mr. Ahmet Yazal, Ambassador of Turkey to Mongolia on Tuesday, 1^st September 2020.

            Minister Khaltar highlighted the agreement reached last year to increase seat capacity on the air route between Ulaanbaatar-Istanbul operated by Turkish Airlines and that capacity increase allowed flying a bigger aircraft without stopover in Bishkek which would shorten flight time and increase convenience and comfort for passengers. He expressed his satisfaction that this long negotiated air talks have now been finalized in favor of the Turkish side. The minister also voiced his interest in working together with Turkey in other fields of transport especially in the area of joint research and development.

            Ambassador Ahmet Yazal congratulated Minister Khaltar on his appointment as the Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia and informed the minister of the Turkish side interest to resume regular flights as well as conducting charter flights from Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar. He also noted the importance of exploring further cooperation possibilities and informed that the Turkish side could offer opportunities for education and training of Mongolian transport specialists.
