MINING TRANSPORTATION RESUMES THROUGH PORTS

The export of mining products such as iron ore, coal and fluorspar has resumed through Zamyn-Uud, Gashuunsukhait, Khangi and Shiveekhuren ports at the Mongolian-Chinese border and in accordance with the instructions of professional organization, the vehicles are disinfected and labor force is provided with protective equipment during the transportation.

On March 3-5, 2020, a Working Group led by H.E Mr. Enkh-Amgalan Byambasuren, Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, worked at Zamyn-Uud port in Dornogovi province to resume the transportation of coal, whereas H.E. Mr. Enkhtuvshin Ulziisaikhan, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia resumed the transport of coal through Gashuunsukhait port in Umnugovi province on March 23, 2020.

Furthermore, Mr. Jargalsaikhan Yondonsuren, Director-General of Road Transport Policy Implementation and Coordination Department of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia worked at Khangi port in Dornogovi province and Mr. B.Gursoronzon, Director of National Road Transport Center state-owned company, worked at Shiveekhuren port in Umnugovi province and both have restarted the road transportation of coal through those ports.
