The Meeting of the Road Transport Working Group between Mongolia and the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, on 10 June 2026. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current state of road transport relations between the two countries, existing challenges, and future areas of cooperation.

The parties discussed the draft Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on International Road Transport and expressed their commitment to working closely together to finalize and conclude the Agreement in the near future.

The two sides also exchanged information on cross-border transport conditions, border crossing point operations, and transit transport regulations. They agreed to establish a joint working group by 1 July 2026 to facilitate prompt cooperation on addressing issues faced by carriers and to advance the implementation of an electronic permit (e-Permit) system.

In addition, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between transport and logistics organizations, as well as business communities of the two countries, and to support carriers engaged in bilateral, transit, and third-country transport operations by providing broader opportunities and facilitating transport activities between Mongolia and Azerbaijan.
