Within the framework of Mongolia's Air Transport Liberalization in the New Revival Policy of the Government, as well as the CHEAP TICKETS-ACCESSIBLE FLIGHTS objective of the Ministry of Road and Transport Development, MIAT SOE received its second Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft from the world's leading airline company, AerCap, on April 25, 2024.
The Open Sky policy, crucial for Mongolia's global connectivity, is showing results. Currently, the aircraft will serve routes to Istanbul, Frankfurt, and Seoul. Additionally, direct flights to the United States, Singapore, and Australia are planned for the future.

Thanks to its speed and long range, the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner can undertake long-distance transcontinental flights without layovers. It operates three of the world's five non-stop long-haul routes.

This aircraft is more fuel-efficient due to advancements in aerodynamic technology, more efficient engines, and a lighter weight. Its fuel consumption per seat is 20 percent lower than that of the B767-300 aircraft, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by the same margin.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is equipped with advanced cockpit technology and amenities, ensuring passenger comfort. Its windows are larger than those of other aircraft currently in use, providing passengers with a more comfortable flying experience.
