Delegation from the Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia headed by H.E. Mr. Dangaa Ganbat, Minister of Road and Transport of Mongolia attended the International Transport Forum (ITF) 2017 “Governance of Transport” Annual Summit in Leipzig, Germany from 31 May to 02 June 2017.
The Annual Summit of the International Transport Forum is the premier global transport policy event. Since 2008, the Summit brings together ministers from around the world to share policy perspectives with CEOs, heads of international organisations, thought leaders from civil society and academia, and the media. This conference addresses strategic and topical issues across all transport modes where participants can engage in the debate through a variety of session formats.
The ITF’s 2017 Summit on Governance of Transport explores the trends shaping transport governance and identify the most pressing challenges in the transport sector. Through the governance lens, it focuses on infrastructure, global connectivity, the right regulation for innovation, and urban access and mobility.
The Summit provides a multitude of opportunities to network with partners and hold bilateral discussions among delegates and on the sidelines of the summit, the Mongolian delegation held bilateral meetings with key partners including transport ministers of Russia, China, Germany, Poland, Luxembourg.
Moreover, during the Summit, H.E. Mr. Dangaa Ganbat, Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia and H.E. Mr. François Bausch, Minister of Sustainable Development of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg signed the Air Services Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 01 June 2017.
