Minister Khaltar Luvsan met with Country Representative of German Sparkassenstiftung Mongolia Mr. Markus Loch on July 22, 2022.

Mr. Markus Loch informed about the German extreme athlete Guido Kunze’s plan to cross Mongolia from West to East with his mountain bike in early August of this year and will try to set up a new Guinness World Record with the fastest time. That would already be his 6th world record.

The focus should not only be on the sporting performance, but on the diverse encounters with the people in Mongolia and the impressions that will arise on this tour. The sport serves as the emotional basis to show what a fascinating country Mongolia is.

Guido will be accompanied by his family and will consciously refrain from professional supporters, the focus will also be on the power of the family, which in turn fits perfectly with the nomadic culture of Mongolia. On site in Mongolia, this project will be managed by Guido's long-time friend Markus Loch. And all this will be documented in a movie.  

Minister Khaltar Luvsan expressed his willingness to support this project. He mentioned about the branches of National Road Transport Center located in each province that Guido Kunze will pass through, so they could cooperate with the team in providing necessary help to ensure the safety. Minister wished the team a great success and safe trip.
