Minister Delgersaikhan met with the Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia, Shen Minjuan, at the State Palace. At the start, the sides expressed their satisfaction with the recent cooperation in bilateral transportation. The main discussion was about the upcoming “groundbreaking ceremony” for the cross-border railway between the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod border checkpoints.

“The minister said the government is highly prioritizing the ceremony. Mongolia’s Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and other ministers, including himself, will attend. Considering the significance of this railway for both countries, he requested the involvement of high-level officials from China in this ceremony.”

Ambassador Shen said that she will contact China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Development and Reform Commission and will support to ensure Chinese participation. The ambassador also noted the growing global economic uncertainty and trade disruptions. China will deepen its cooperation with neighboring countries. She highlighted that China’s current cooperation activities with Mongolia are aligned well with this mission.

Both sides agreed to work together regarding preparations for the ceremony and meet again if necessary.
