On July 22, 2024, State Secretary of the Ministry of Road and Transport of Mongolia Batbold Sandagdorj and Deputy Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) of the United States Holly E. Canevari signed a Letter of Intent (LOI).

The LOI aims to enhance the security measures of Mongolia's civil aviation industry, provide training for its personnel, and initiate direct flights between Mongolia and the USA.
